Out of School Time (OST) and Extended Day Programs – Dundalk High School
At Dundalk High School, Out-of-School Time (OST) activities and Extended Day programs are designed to support student academic success, attendance improvement, career readiness, and social-emotional development by providing structured opportunities before school, after school, evenings, and weekends. These programs align with school improvement goals by offering targeted support, enrichment, and mentorship for students who need additional assistance or engagement beyond the regular school day.
Extended Day / OST Programs offered
SWAAG (after-school clubs and activities)
SWAAG programs provide after-school enrichment opportunities that allow students to participate in supervised clubs, leadership activities, and skill-building sessions. These activities promote school connection, positive behavior, and student engagement.
Saturday School
Saturday School provides additional academic support for students who need help with attendance recovery, credit completion, tutoring, or assignment support. Students work with teachers in a structured environment to improve grades, stay on track for graduation, and increase accountability.
Twilight Program (after-school academic support)
The Twilight program offers after-school instructional time where students can receive tutoring, complete missing assignments, recover credits, and get extra help from teachers. This program supports students who need extended learning time to meet graduation requirements.
Driver’s Education Classes
Driver’s Education is offered as an extended-day opportunity to help students complete required certification for obtaining a learner’s permit or driver’s license. This program supports career readiness, independence, and post-secondary preparation.
CPR Certification Classes
CPR training is provided to give students life-saving skills and workforce readiness experience. Students who complete the course receive certification that can be used for employment, internships, or career programs.
Mentoring Programs (Students Empowering Women, Counseling Groups, etc.)
Mentoring and counseling groups provide social-emotional support, leadership development, and positive peer connections.

  • Peer leadership and support circles
These programs help students build confidence, improve decision-making skills, and strengthen relationships with staff and peers.
Student Ambassadors Program
The Ambassador program gives students leadership opportunities by assisting with school events, welcoming guests, mentoring younger students, and representing the school at community activities. This program builds responsibility, communication skills, and school pride.
Millionaires Club – Financial Literacy Program
The Millionaires Club is a financial literacy program offered in partnership with First Financial
Federal Credit Union (FFFCU). This program prepares students with real-world financial skills
that support post-secondary success, independence, and long-term stability. Students participate
in workshops and activities focused on:
• Budgeting and saving
• Credit and banking basics
• Financial responsibility
• Career and life planning
