Family & Consumer Sciences The Family and Consumer Sciences department (formerly Family Studies) is responsible for assisting students in their choice of professional life, whether they are interested in Child Care Services Associate, Nutrition and Food Science Associate, Human Services Associate, or the newest addition to the career majors: Teacher Academy of Maryland. Students have a choice of over a dozen different course selections to aid in the development of their literacy and life skills.
